What TapDownload is

TapDownload is a free web tool that opens public Snapchat pages and lets you save the photos and videos they show. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Snap Inc. Snapchat is a trademark of Snap Inc.

Use it for public content you're allowed to keep

• Save your own snaps, or ask the person who made them first.
• Other people's photos and videos belong to them. Don't repost, sell or reuse them without permission. Doing so can break copyright law and Snapchat's Terms of Service.
• Don't use TapDownload to harass anyone, or to collect content in bulk.
• You are responsible for how you use what you save.

What TapDownload won't do

• It only opens pages that snapchat.com shows to anyone without logging in.
• It never asks for, or uses, a Snapchat login.
• It doesn't get around privacy settings, age limits or any other restriction Snapchat applies.

TapDownloadBot

When you paste a link, our server fetches that one public Snapchat page on your behalf, identifying itself as TapDownloadBot/1.0. It only fetches pages a visitor asked for, never crawls, sends no cookies, and remembers each page for five minutes so it isn't fetched twice. Requests are rate-limited per visitor.

Takedown requests

TapDownload doesn't host anyone's photos or videos: it passes along files that Snapchat serves publicly. If you made a snap and want it out of reach, the fastest fix is to delete it or make it private on Snapchat, and it stops working here at once (within five minutes, when our page cache expires). For any other request, including copyright notices, write to hello@tapdownload.com with the link and we'll respond promptly.

No guarantees

TapDownload is provided as is. Snapchat can change its pages at any time, and when it does, some links may stop working until we catch up. We may limit or stop the service at any time.
